🎥 YouTube is cracking down on AI spam videos

The problem is, too much low-effort AI content.
Lately, YouTube has been flooded with videos made entirely by AI, and not the good kind.
It’s true. I have been noticing the same, and honestly, it’s making me lose interest in watching videos lately.
We’re talking about mass-produced, copy-paste style content. Videos with the same robotic voice, recycled scripts, and no real creativity.
Many channels are uploading hundreds of similar AI-generated listicles, motivational speeches, or fake interviews, all with zero human effort.
These videos might trick the algorithm for a while, but they offer nothing useful or enjoyable for real viewers.
And YouTube has had enough.
💰 The New Rule: No more monetization for AI spam
YouTube has officially updated its monetization rules.
Here’s what they said:
To earn money, your content must be original and provide value. We will no longer allow videos that are clearly mass-produced and repetitive.

In simple terms, if you use AI to make lots of similar videos, YouTube won’t pay you anymore.
And this isn’t just a warning. You could actually lose access to the YouTube Partner Program, which means no ads, no revenue, and no features for creators.
✅ What’s still allowed?
Now here’s the good news: You can still use AI, but just the right way.
YouTube isn’t against AI. They just want creators to add a human touch. AI should help you create content, not replace you.
Here are a few examples of allowed AI usage:
✍️ Using AI to write scripts, but reviewing and editing them yourself.
🎙️ AI-generated voiceovers, as long as they’re part of a story or video you personally crafted.
💡 Using AI to brainstorm ideas or research, not to auto-generate entire channels.
In short, AI is your assistant, not your replacement.
🔍 What should you do?
YouTube is still one of the best ways to earn money as a creator. But the rules are changed.
As AI tools grow, YouTube wants more real and creative content. They support original creators, not those who use AI to make tons of similar videos.
If AI can do 90% of the work, then your value comes from:
- Sharing real insights
- Telling human stories
- Adding your personality and voice
This is a reminder: Use AI to improve your content, not to create the same thing over and over.
